Position
Summary:Under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse, is responsible for manning the nursing station and performing clerical and reception duties, transcribing physician orders, requesting supplies and services to other departments. Interacts with and responds to patients and families of all ages.
Qualifications:High school diploma or GED. No experience required. Clerical and keyboarding skills required. May occasionally be in areas that contain non-controlled medications and pharmaceutical products while performing primary job responsibilities. Must have high level of confidentiality.
OSHA Category:Rare exposure to risk of bloodborne diseases (Category II). Rare exposure to risk regarding chemical hazards (Category B).
Physical Requirements:Exert up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Prolonged standing, sitting, and walking. Perform repetitive tasks/motions. Must be able to distinguish colors.
